“Love it. This course has been such a helpful adjunct to trying to look things up here and there, or in my PT textbooks. So great to see the options in action!”
"I am both a pediatrician and parent of a child who needs SMOs. Gabriel’s course gives me a deeper understanding of the different options available for my son and for my patients. I recommend all parents watch his “Top 10 Tips” for sure!”

I am an American Board Certified and Kentucky state licensed orthotist, specializing in pediatrics for the past 20+ years. As Director of Pediatrics at Bluegrass Bracing Pediatrics in Lexington, KY, I work to help children learn to take their first steps, reduce pain and balance problems, and prevent permanent deformity as they grow.
I have dedicated my career (and much of my free time) to helping children. I help partly by providing specialized orthotic care, but also by informing parents and medical professionals (nurses, doctors, physical and occupational therapists) about which options and strategies are available, and what might be best for each individual child.
Most parents and medical providers are lacking the knowledge about all the options available for kids with mobility problems.

Children everywhere exhibit very similar physical challenges AND potential improvement with the right care. All children are unique, but children with mobility challenges OFTEN exhibit many patterns and problems which are very common AND are treatable, if we take the right action.

3 Primary Goals With Every Patient I See these should be understood by pediatric medical providers and parents
Each child needs support which helps improve function. If your patients are struggling more with their bracing, that is a problem that needs attention. I explain possible problems and solutions in the course.
Each child needs bracing support which promotes healthy, productive movement while also preventing and controlling pathological and damaging movements. This is a complicated process which many do not understand. The process needs to be tailored to each patient at that moment in their development. Achieving the right balance of control and freedom is essential and requires understanding your patients, evaluating their progress and knowing all your options.
Each child needs orthotic support which corrects and protects at-risk joints and muscles from progressing into deformed positions as children grow.
